Ice-T’s grandson, Elyjah Marrow has a bit of a real life “Law & Order” situation. Elyjah, 19, was arrested after accidentally shooting his roommate Daryus Johnson in their shared Marietta, Ga. apartment Tuesday afternoon while playing with a handgun. Johnson who is also 19 was transmitted to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. “Marrow was not using proper firearms safety when handling the gun…That reckless handling of the firearm is what led to Johnson being accidentally shot and eventually killed,” Marietta Police Officer David Baldwin told the Marietta Daly Journal. Marrow previously made an appearance on “Ice Loves Coco” and by Friday the arrest was everywhere once DISisHipHop made the connection between the teen and his grandfather, Ice-T. Marrow’s charges include: involuntary manslaughter, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Jail could be on the agenda again for Chris Brown
R&B singer Chris Brown just recently rejected a plea deal on Wednesday in his Washington assault case.He is expecting to go to trial on September 8; so we are left in suspense once again.Chris was close to copping a plea but the deal fell apart because the prosecutor and Chris’ lawyer,Mark Geragos, couldn’t agree on a statement of fact about the events leading to the alleged assault told DISisHipHop, However, if the “Loyal” singer had pled guilty to the assault, he wouldn’t have to worry about serving any additional jail time. Chris brown is still sticking to his story of not attacking the alleged victim.Chris brown is being charged after Parker Adams, 20, claimed Brown and his bodyguard Chris Hollosy—who has already been convicted of the assault already–punched him and broke his nose when he tried to jump into a photo outside a Washington hotel last year October.(News)
Frank Ocean is so over his day-to-day people
Frank Ocean is so over his day-to-day people. He made that quite obvious today, firing both his management and publicist personnel, leaving doubt in the the minds of fans as to where he is professionally these days. He’s teased his new album for several months, adding small tidbits like being inspired by The Beatles and sharing intimate photos of him in the studio, via NABIL, indicating that his sophomore effort is very close to being finished. No word on whether Frank has found replacements for his management and publicist team, but hopefully, it doesn’t interfere with the sophomore album production process. Ocean’s debut album, Channel Orange, was released in 2012 and was an immediate success, resulting in Ocean becoming one of music’s biggest stars, and a Grammy Award, which he incidentally won over rival singer, Chris Brown. It is worth mentioning that officially, Frank Ocean is signed to Def Jam Records, and they come with their own set of publicists, but as far as having a management team, one would think that its pretty imperative that Ocean has one heading into his album roll out. We’ll just have to wait and see.(News)
An incident went down on Sunday in Detroit at Chene Park, the location of Hot 107.5′s Summer Jam, that forced Rick Ross to cancel his performance at the annual hip-hop concert. Conflicting reports indicate that Rick Ross was everything from mobbed on by over 100 people to peacefully blocked from entering the venue, and while the latter explanation is the most plausible and practical, given the circumstances, many are crediting local raper Trick Trick‘s “No Fly Zone” record–which is meant to dissuade the city from allowing rappers who don’t collaborate with local Detroit acts from entering the city–as the reason Ross didn’t touch Detroit’s Summer Jam stage. Earlier today, Rick Ross took to Miami’s 99 Jamz to talk briefly about the situation that has rumors flying across the internet, specifically Twitter. One of the more prevalent statements from Ross’ interview: My team is always in front of me, but just to make it clear, I never made it to the venue. I never made it to the venue. Me and whoever this gentleman is, we never crossed paths. He never spoke with Rozay. And I expect him to clarify that. I expect him to tell y’all that, ‘we never spoke to Rozay’, or, ‘we never spoke to MMG’, but, anyway. Ross then went on to paint a picture of the actual events of Sunday evening, most of which, according to Ross, are details that were told to him because he never made it to the venue. The caravan had went to the venue, and you know. They get there, and someone has locked the gates to the venue. Padlocked, or however they did it. The gates were locked, there were gentlemen that were supposed to be there dealing with the police. My team didn’t even know that there was a problem. You can watch the full interview below, including a scintillating jungle/lion’s den analogy from Rozay around the 3:20 mark. (News)

Trick Trick, is attributed with making Detroit a “No Fly Zone” which means that any artist who does not support Detroit, collaborate with local artists or add on the music culture are not welcomed.HOT 107.5 Program Director Jay Hicks announced on stage around midnight, that Rick Ross “is in fear of his life”, and “and that n*gga is not performing here tonight and he may never come back to Detroit.”Allegedly, Styles P, Young Berg and Trick Daddy are already familiar with the policy and have been sent for by Trick Trick, but apparently Rick Ross didn’t know how serious things were until being met by 100 people outside of Chene Park late Saturday night. Fans were outraged and were quickly escorted out of the venue, abruptly ending an otherwise uneventful and peaceful show. The full video is below:Read the lyrics from Trick Trick’s verse on “No Fly Zone“:“Now we gotta make offers that these bitch ass niggas can’t refuseSee, these niggas think they can buy respectThey never even earned respectThey never learned respectSo from here on out, Detroit is officially a no fly zoneYou heard it, all these bitch ass niggasDon’t come to this motherfucker without permissionPlease don’t make me have to demonstrateIt’s not about attentionIt’s about the seriousness of what you bitch ass niggas think is a fucking jokeY’all wanna play? I’m not fucking playing, manI’m not fucking playing, man, okay”Trick Trick’s latest project, Godfather pt.3 is due out this year. Those who actually had “clearance” to perform in Detroit last night met the Summer Jamz stage with welcomed arms. Another accomplishment to add to the resume of the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan is now a billionaire according to Forbes. In February, Forbes estimated Jordan’s annual earnings at $90 million and his net worth at $750 million. But according to their sources, Jordan has upped his stake in the Charlotte Hornets from 80% to 89.5% tipping the scale of his net worth to the billionaire range. The Milwaukee Bucks were sold in May for $550 million and are considered the least valuable team in the league. Sports bankers estimate the Hornets are worth between $600 million and $625 million. They went with the lower figure of $600 million to estimate Jordan’s net worth. The Hornets have $135 million in debt which would make Jordan’s equity in the team worth $416 million. They subtracted how much Jordan invested in the team and estimated his net worth outside of the Hornets (including those sneakers you guys love so much) to $600 million giving him a grand total of $1 billion. Welcome the newest billionaire Mr. Michael Jordan. (News)

While Sean Kingston comes across as a low key guy, it seems the "Beat It" singer may turn up for the right reason: his money. According to TMZ, Kingston is being accused of having his security guards put hands on a club promoter who didn't pay up what was owed. According to sources, Kingston agreed to host and perform alongside Carmen Electra and The Jazmin Sisters at Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood for a predetermined fee of $11,000. While the promoter paid half up front, he felt Kingston didn't hype up the gig on social media enough and showed up 3 hours late, and therefore refused to pay the singer the rest. When the promoter refused, Kingston allegedly had his security hem him up against a wall and steal his watch, iPhone and a few grand in cash. Cops were called, although no one was arrested. Police confirm that the victim claimed Kingston OK'd the attack over money. The watch and iPhone in question were later found on the premises, but the cash was gone. Kingston has not been named as a suspect, and his bodyguards are listed as witnesses but deny any involvement. (news)
That picture is of a currentJustin Bieber. The Justin Bieber you’re about to see, is around the same age asthis Justin Bieber, and the similarity between these two Bieber’s is they’re both saying the “n word” on camera as part of terrible jokes. This time, a 14 year old Justin Bieber used his own hit single, “One Less Lonely Girl”, as a pallet for his bad joke, replacing the word “girl” with “n***a”. “One less lonely n***a, one less lonely n***a” Towards the end of the clip, he even interpolates a line about killing a n***a and joining the KKK, before getting back to the re-worked “one less lonely n***a” chorus.(news)
