What Beef? Drake and Common Exchange Kind Words At The NBA All Star Game

Looks like the Beef between Drake and Common is 100% squashed.

The two were spotted courtside at the NBA All Star game tonight smiling and dapping each other up while talking about who knows what. Meanwhile, NBA reporter Alex Kennedy tweeted, ‘Drake and Common are both courtside at the All-Star game. Maybe we’ll see a fist fight after the game’. Not happening…

Earlier this month, after weeks of throwing subliminal jabs at each other on stage and on wax, the two came face to face with each other at the Grammys. A source tells us that they showed up at the Awards at the same time (unintentionally — Drake was late) and Drake gave Common a mean grill down before the two almost got into a fist fight. Drake had his father with him, (who stepped in and seemed to be the voice of reasoning) and the guys chatted it out and decided to squash the beef. The sighting at the game tonight was the icing on the cake.

Now the underlying question is; Will there be a Drake/Common collab in the near future?

Nicki Minaj's VIBE Feb/Mar 2012 Cover Is Here!

Nicki Minaj is at a pink-colored crossroads, floating in a blurry world between pop and rap. While some fans may be confused about the Head Barbie’s musical direction, though, Nicki Minaj is very clear about who Nicki Minaj is. And the Queens-bred queen would rather not be confined into any genre. Now that she's arguably brought female rappers out of extinction, the throne is no longer for the taking.

For VIBE’s February/March issue, Roman goes insane with our Senior Editor Clover Hope (@Clovito) about where her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded fits into the pop and hip-hop landscapes, her plans on taking over the fashion world, the evolution of her Young Money label mate Drake and the new crop of rap chicks.

in 2012, and we are fully entrenched in the internet age where artists of all looks, creeds, ages, and skill sets are breaking out. As people pass by the newsstands and see three relatively new and not as familiar faces grace the cover of the most illustrious hip-hop magazine in history. On one side, you have the incredibly popular Mac Miller out of Pittsburgh, PA. It wouldn't surprise many to see the 20 year old perform at Superbowl Halftime shows one day with his mass appeal and lyrical ability. On another side, 2 Chainz has experienced one of the most intriguing career revivals in recent hip-hop history. After changing his name, and releasing two acclaimed mixtapes and demolishing feature after feature, Def Jam's newest crown jewel is poised to be the South's next champion artist. The young and flashy Tyga of the Young Money crew has experienced success as a part of one of rap's most respected crews. Riding the success of hit singles "Deuces," and most recently "Rack City," 2012 looks to be the year the young man comes into his own. Last but not least is the vastly talented Compton MC Kendrick Lamar. As one of the most talented spitters to come along in some time, it's safe to say that he might be your new favorite rapper's favorite rapper. Four different walks of life, all coming together for this special moment before it is time for lift off. Despite their differences, they all agree that the best is yet to come.
